Tip II Comprender la Luz, Understand the Light !

En la antigüedad se pensaba que nuestra visión era producto de unos rayos que viajaban desde nuestros ojos y rebotaban a nosotros formando las imágenes.
Ya en la edad media y gracias al trabajo de Alhazen creador del método científico se planteaba que el color de los objetos está relacionado con la luz del sol que los ilumina.
En nuestros días afirmamos que las ondas de luz llegan desde el sol y los objetos reflejan ciertos colores y a su vez nuestros ojos perciben cuan energéticas son las ondas de luz que reflejan y nuestro cerebro hace el resto para formarnos imágenes y colores.
Una cámara fotográfica lo que hace entonces es captar esas ondas de luz y las registra.

Tome en cuenta que las cámaras son mecanismos y están calibrados para hacer su trabajo en cierto rango de luz, poca luz significa una foto obscura...mucha luz significa que tendremos objetos con colores distorsionados ó dañados.
Afortunadamente a las aves les gusta comer temprano en la mañana cuando la luz es todavía tenue y allí encontrarás el mejor momento para capturarlos con tu lente. Mi hora  preferida 6:30 am en el verano.

The ancients thought that what we watch is the product of a ray traveling from our eyes and it bounces from the objects to our  eyes forming images.
Already in the Middle Age and thanks to the work of Alhazen who created the scientific method it is argued that the color of the objects is associated with the sunlight that illuminates them.
Nowadays we say that the light waves coming from the sun  reflect on the objects certain colors, What our eyes do is to perceive energy in light waves and  our brain does the rest in order to form images and colors.
What a camera does is capturing these light waves.

Without light there are not photos.
Note that the cameras are mechanisms calibrated to do their work in a range of light, low light means a dark picture ... too bright objects means that will we have damaged or distorted colors.
Fortunately the birds like to eat early in the morning when the light is still dim and you will find the best time to catch them with your lens. My favorite 6:30 am

No he decaido en el deseo de encontrar nuevos visitantes al vecindario, mientras tanto me divierto tomando algunas fotos a los que nos visitan con frecuencia.

Tip 1 Tiempo ,  Time

Si quieres hacer algo bien, pues dedícale tiempo. Para mi este es el secreto para que las cosas te salgan bien. Si estas interesado en tomar buenas  fotos, debes comprender el proceso y las condiciones en las que se toman las fotografías. 

• Cuando se trata de fotografiar aves empieza por conocerlas, una vez comprendas sus hábitos ó costumbres podras saber donde encontrarlas. 
• Investiga sobre los equipos más recomendados para tomar fotografias  de aves. Un buen comienzo son las cámaras que ya tienen zoom incluido las cuales, gracias a la tecnología actual poseen una gran capacidad de acercamiento, buena calidad y precio razonable.
• Es importante que conozcas la técnica de la fotografía, Toma un curso de fotografía básica, ó instrúyete sobre el tema.
• Practica.

If you want something done right, then you need to  spend time on it. For me this is the secret to getting things you want. If you're interested in taking good pictures, you must understand the process and the conditions under which the photographs are taken. It takes time !

• When it comes to photographing birds begins by  learning about  them , once you understand their habits or customs you can know where to find them. 
• Find out about the most recommended cameras to take pictures of birds. A good start are cameras that already include zoom. Thanks to today's technology, they posses great zoom capabilities, good quality and reasonable price. 
• It is important to know the art of photography, take a course in basic photography, or study by your self  about it. there is a lot of material on the web.
• Practice.

Aves de Patanemo I

Luego de varios años no he encontrado nuevas especies en mi vecindario y al mismo tiempo siento la necesidad de dar continuidad a mi compromiso conmigo mismo de mostrar algo nuevo. Que mejor oportunidad que mostrar las aves que encontramos en las lagunas que se forman en la bahia de Patanemo en el Estado Carabobo. Allí se encuentran aves endémicas y visitantes estacionales. Disfrútenlas.
After few years I have not found new species in my neighborhood and at the same time feel the need to continue my commitment to myself to show something new. What better opportunity to show the birds found in the lakes that form in the Bay of Patanemo in the State of Carabobo. Endemic birds and seasonal visitors can be observed. Enjoy them.

Como se llama este pajarito?

Debo aclarar que no he visto este pajarito en mi vecindario, sin embargo lo fotografié en el Parque del Este ubicado al este de la ciudad de Caracas. I must clarify that I have not seen this bird in my neighborhood, but I photographed it in "Parque del Este" Park located east of the city of Caracas.
